Jihad Ali joined GW in October 2022 as the Associate AD, Business Administration and is currently responsible for leading all intercollegiate athletics business operations with direct oversight of the Office of Financial Management (OFM) and Equipment Room. He also serves as the sport administrator for the men’s basketball and softball programs.
Ali came to GW from The College of the Holy Cross where he served as the de facto CFO for Athletics and sport administrator for the men’s basketball and softball programs. Prior to his role at Holy Cross he served as the Assistant AD, Business Operations at Oregon State University.
Originally from Atlanta, Ga., Ali earned two degrees while attending Georgia State University, a Bachelor in Finance (2011) and Masters in Sports Administration (2012). Ali was also captain of the Men’s Basketball team while a student-athlete at Georgia State. Â
