Geoffrey Shaiyen joined George Washington University in June 2026 as a graduate assistant for the men’s basketball program.
Over the past year, he served in the basketball operations department with NBA Africa and the Basketball Africa League, where he developed a strong appreciation for adaptability across all aspects of high-level basketball. Prior to that role, he was a student manager at St. John’s University under coaches Mike Anderson and Rick Pitino.
Geoffrey brings valuable experience to the program and looks forward to contributing across all areas of operations. While at GW, Geoffrey is pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Business Foundations.
