Fauzi Cizmesija-Ulmer (He/Him) is a first-year staff member at George Washington University, joining in 2026 as a Senior Athletics Operations Associate at the Mount Vernon Campus. He is responsible for supporting daily operations and assisting with the execution of athletic events across campus facilities, as well as overseeing operations of the Mount Vernon Pool.
Fauzi came to GW from Manhattan University, where he served as a Graduate Assistant for athletic facilities across Draddy Gymnasium and Gaelic Park while pursuing his MBA with a concentration in Organizations, Markets, and Sustainability. In this role, he supported facility operations and event management for varsity programs including soccer, golf, softball, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Recreation and Sports Facilities Management from SUNY Delhi, where he was a member of the men’s basketball team. During his time as a student-athlete, he earned NAC Sportsmanship of the Year honors, was named to the NAC All-Academic Team, and competed in the 2022 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament. His professional interests include sports operations, facility management, and leadership development.
