Before moving to the DMV, he was the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Memphis from 2009-16 under Head Coach Josh Pastner. He oversaw the daily operation of the basketball program including practice and travel logistics, internal and external communications, statistical analysis and on-campus recruiting. The Tigers captured three conference titles, made four NCAA Tournament appearances and produced four NBA players during that stretch.

Sebastian began his career in media relations with the Denver Nuggets where he ascended from department intern to director during his 15 years with the club (1994-2009). He led successful PR campaigns for legendary players such as Allen Iverson, Chauncey Billups, Carmelo Anthony and Marcus Camby, that resulted in multiple NBA awards and All-Star selections. The Nuggets made the playoffs in each of his last six seasons, including a berth in the 2009 Western Conference Finals.
Over the course of his NBA career, he worked with six Hall of Famers (Iverson, Billups, Dikembe Mutombo, George Karl, Dan Issel, Clyde Drexler) and five NBA Coach of the Year recipients (Karl, Brooks, Mike D’Antoni, Mike Brown, Doug Moe).
A 1994 graduate with a Bachelor's of Public Relations from Southern Methodist University, Sebastian also earned a Master’s in Sport and Leisure Commerce from Memphis in 2013. He served internships with the Dallas Cowboys and the 1994 World Cup before embarking on his basketball career. He and his wife, Natalie, are the proud parents of Kade and Braxton.Â
