Mount Vernon A-Z and Code of Conduct
ADA ACCESSIBILITYÂ - The Vern is committed to providing the highest level of service to anyone who requires accessible accommodations. Please alert GW staff upon your arrival and appropriate accommodations will be made for you.

ALCOHOL – Alcohol is not permitted. Additionally, fans appearing intoxicated will be denied entry or will be subject to ejection. Intervention with an intoxicated or impaired fan will be handled in a prompt and safe manner. Fans should report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest GW staff member or security guard.
ANIMALS – Furry friends on leashes are welcome but please be mindful of other guests’ experience.
BABY CHANGING FACILITIES – Restrooms are located in West Hall.
BANNERS AND SIGNSÂ - Banners and signs are permitted, provided they are sports-related, in good taste and not of a commercial nature. Banners and signs may not be secured to any area of the facility or obstruct the view of other guests or arena advertising signage. GW staff reserves the right to remove any banner or sign.
CAMERASÂ - Small personal cameras (non-professional) are permitted for sporting events. All professional equipment must be accompanied by a media/photo credential issued through the Athletics Communications Office.
CONCESSIONS – A dining facility is located within West Hall.
CODE OF CONDUCT – GW is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment for all fans attending athletic events. You are responsible for your conduct as well as the conduct of your guests and/or persons with whom you have attended events. The highest standards in sportsmanship are expected. If your conduct endangers or disrupts the student-athletes, coaches, officials or other patrons, GW reserves the right to remove you from the premises. GW students who are in violation of this may be referred for follow-up and possible disciplinary action.
As such, the following is prohibited:
FIRST AIDÂ - If you require any first aid, please find the nearest GW personnel and an emergency crew will respond to your location.
FOOD AND BEVERAGEÂ - Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.
LOST CHILDRENÂ - Please report any lost children to the nearest GW personnel.
NEIGHBORHOOD – Parking is prohibited in the surrounding neighborhoods. Visitors must be courteous to GW’s neighbors upon entering and leaving all athletic events.
PARKINGÂ - There is a parking garage on campus. Street parking is not permitted.
PLAYING AREAÂ - Fans may not go onto the playing area or throw any items onto the playing area. Violation will result in immediate ejection and/or arrest and prosecution.
PROHIBITED ITEMSÂ -
* Noisemakers including thunder sticks, musical instruments, whistles, air horns, vuvuzelas, and boom boxes
* Weapons or projectiles and laser pointers
* Alcoholic beverages
* Poles or sticks
* Monopods, tripods or unauthorized video cameras

SMOKINGÂ - Smoking and any tobacco use is prohibited.
VISITORS – GW fans are asked to treat all visitors with respect. Accordingly, you are asked to cheer for the Buff and Blue, not against our opponents.
