
MENTORING SIGN-UP | RETURN TO VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The department is currently recruiting former student-athletes and alumni supporters to serve as mentors for rising junior and senior student-athletes. Each student will be paired with a member of the GW alumni family to develop a personal and professional networking relationship.
While each mentor pair relationship will be unique, the basic participation expectations and benefits include:
Expectations
- Every 4-6 week touch point with mentee
- Commitment to the mentoring relationship for at least one year (July 2020 - May 2021)
- Mentors are encouraged to attend on-campus events (Networking Forum Feb. 22, 2021)
- Together with your mentee, define one or two career goals and formulate an effective plan for accomplishing their goals by the end of the school year.
- Provide sound guidance for students regarding their professional career paths
- Completion of program evaluation activities at the end of academic year
