Kapragkos Earns MAWPC Player of the Week

GW water polo junior utility Konstantinos Kapragkos was named the MAWPC's Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. It's the first Player of the Week honor given out by the conference this season.
The transfer from Long Beach State in his first season with GW made an instant impact for the Revolutionaries, leading the team with 18 points on opening weekend. He scored 12 goals and dished out 6 assists, which included a weekend-high five goals vs. Redlands, capped off by his game-winning goal with less than a minute to play.
Kapragkos' presence was felt on both ends of the pool, as he also swiped a team-best nine steals and added nine exclusions-drawn.
Kapragkos and the Revolutionaries are back in action this weekend with five games at the Navy Open, beginning with a battle against Princeton on Friday evening at 6 p.m.
