Taylor Treahy Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

WASHINGTON- Sophomore Taylor Treahy has been tabbed as the A-10 Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is Treahy's first career A-10 Player of the Week accolade. Â
Leading GW's offense on a three-win weekend, Treahy put down 37 kills across 10 sets, averaging 3.70 kills/set at the pin. Her high-powered attack resulted in an impressive .478 hitting percentage, and the sophomore earned 4.45 points per set across GW's third weekend of action. Treahy also chipped in nine blocks at the net to fuel the defense.Â
Treahy and GW are set to hit the road this weekend, traveling to Boca Raton, Fla., to compete in Owls Paradise Classic hosted by Florida Atlantic. GW opens play on Friday at noon, facing the host Owls. Fans are encouraged to follow gwsports.com for the most up-to-date information.
