WASHINGTON – Head Coach Ganiyat Adeduntan announced three changes to her coaching staff ahead of the 2025-26 season. Devona Knight joins the Revolutionaries as the program's Director of Basketball Operations, Lauren Coleman shifts from her DOBO role to an Assistant Coach title and Jacee Busick has been added as the team's Graduate Manager.
Lauren Coleman
Coleman, who joined GW in April as the program's DOBO, spent last season at Colgate with Coach G. With the Raiders, Coleman was both the team's Director of Operations and an assistant coach. She not only assisted in on-court coaching and player development, but also oversaw all team travel, program budget management and helped foster a positive team culture.
Before her stint with Colgate, Coleman was an assistant coach with North Platte Community College from 2022-24. Her tenure was a successful one, helping guide the program to a Region IX Championship in 2023-24 while leading the defense to just 53.1 ppg allowed, the lowest the program had seen in the five previous seasons. Along with her coaching duties, Coleman was also North Platte's Assistant Director of Multicultural Leadership and Engagement, where she spearheaded the development of campus events and created a dynamic student experience. Over her tenure, North Platte saw student participation in campus events rise 20%, a direct reflection of her work behind the scenes.
Devona Knight
Knight joins GW as the program's Director of Basketball Operations after serving as the Director of Marketing & Sales with the University of Richmond since 2022.
With the Spiders, Knight was an integral part of internal operations and gameday experiences, working with football, men's and women's basketball, Richmond's "Family Fun Zone," the "Spiders Kids Club," the "Spiders Scholastic Stars" and coordinating all email marketing efforts as well.
Knight's in-game responsibilities included scripting and managing all promotions, coordinating fan and student engagement items, scripting all game flow and run-of-show items, and managing performances that happened pregame and at halftime.
Prior to her time in the A-10 with Richmond, Knight spent four years at North Carolina Central as the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations. Her responsibilities included implementing and coordinating the sale and service for all athletic ticket initiatives, overseeing the daily operation of the ticket office, and managing all game day parking and tailgating. Knight helped the department raise over $200,000 during NC Central's virtual Homecoming Campaign in 2020 and generated over $40,000 in new ticket revenue through the implementation of premium seating.
Knight got her start in collegiate basketball with Delaware State, serving as the women's basketball program's Director of Operations from 2012-14. Through over 10 years of experience in collegiate athletics, Knight has worked with 10 revenue-generating programs that have gone on to compete in the national tournament, notably including two consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament with Richmond's women's basketball team.
Knight earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration in 2011 from Pfeifer and a Master of Science in Sport Administration from Delaware State in 2018.
Jacee Busick
Busick, a 2024 graduate of Charlotte, joins the GW coaching staff as a graduate manager after a successful five-year playing career in the collegiate ranks. Busick spent four years at Charlotte before transferring to Belmont for her graduate season, accumulating over 700 career points and 600 rebounds.
Busick's best statistical season came in 2023-24 as a senior with the 49ers, averaging 7.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. The 6-1 guard started in all 31 games that season and tallied 86 starts in her four seasons at Charlotte.
Busick earned a Bachelor of Exercise Science degree from Charlotte in 2024 and completed one year of pre-medical work with Belmont during the 2024-25 academic year.
