GW swimming & diving completed both its mid-season invitationals on Saturday night, earning event victories on the last day at both the Wolfpack Elite Invitational and the Navy Invitational.
In swimming, it was Ava Topolewski who added another victory to her impressive long-distance career, topping the field at the Wolfpack Elite Invite in the 1,650-yard freestyle (16:18.61). Over in diving action, Holden Wheeler and Michael Wood stood atop the men's platform ranks, as Wheeler emerged with a victory in his top event (281.75) and Wood followed behind in second (237.35).
GW improved upon four program top 10 marks on Saturday, as Colleen MacWilliams improved her eight-place seating in the 200-yard IM (2:02.81) and moved into eighth all-time in the 100-yard free (50.60) on her leadoff in the final relay. Andres Brooks also improved upon his seventh-place 200-yard butterfly time (1:46.30), and Heitor Napolitano Fonseca Reis jumped into eighth all-time in the 200-yard butterfly (1:47.01).
