
Djurdje Matic Secures 14th in 100 Butterfly at NCAA Championships

Matic breaks A-10 and program record in the event
INDIANAPOLIS - For the first time in his career, Djurdje Matic has earned the title of All-American. Matic finished his second of three events on Friday, 100-yard butterfly, in 14th place as he collected his highest all-time finish at the national meet.
Matic broke his personal best, the program and A-10 records in Friday morning's prelims, where he went :44.80 to finish in a three-way tie for 10th. Matic then returned for the consolation final on Friday night, finishing the race in sixth place (:44.95) and the event in 14th.
Matic scratched his final event on Saturday, the 100-yard freestyle, as he garnered the title of All-American in his final race for the Buff & Blue.
