Women’s Basketball Announces 2023-24 Schedule

WASHINGTON – GW women's basketball has officially announced its schedule for the 2023-24 season, which will begin on Monday, November 6 vs. Howard and features a return to the San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico over Thanksgiving.
GW's 15 total home games include six non-conference opponents and nine Atlantic 10 matchups, with game times to be announced at a later date.
Following the Buff & Blue's opener with Howard, GW heads to Manhattan on Friday, Nov. 10, before returning home to host American on Wednesday, Nov. 15. GW then plays Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Md., in its final tune-up before heading to Puerto Rico, Nov. 23-25.
GW returns to the Smith Center on Nov. 30 for its first-ever meeting with Cheyney State, then heads to Towson on Wednesday, Dec. 6 for its final non-conference road game.
The Revolutionaries then begin a three-game non-conference homestand, welcoming Coppin State on Dec. 9, Hampton on Dec. 16 and Stonehill on Dec. 21.
GW opens conference action at home against Richmond on Dec. 30 before visiting Saint Joseph's on Jan. 3 for the first game of the new year.
Also in January, the Buff & Blue have three games on the road and four at home, highlighted by a 2023 A-10 Quarterfinals rematch vs. Rhode Island at the Smith Center on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
A visit to VCU on Feb. 4 starts the final full month of conference action, with GW hosting St. Bonaventure (Feb. 7), La Salle (Feb. 14) and UMass (Feb. 24).
GW closes out conference action at home vs. Loyola Chicago on Saturday, March 2.
