Nine from Men's Water Polo Land ACWPC Academic Recognition

Buff & Blue recognized for 3.23 cumulative GPA
WASHINGTON – GW men's water polo has landed nine student-athletes on the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Academic All-America Team following its fall 2021 season.
In addition, the Buff and Blue were recognized as a group for their combined cumulative GPA of 3.23.
Zachary Pendolino (3.79) led the way on the "Outstanding" list, while Luca Castorina (3.51), Viktor Jovanovic (3.54), Nick Schroeder (3.45) and Antonin Kralj (3.41) netted "Superior" honors. Bender Russo (3.33), Nik Schoening (3.32), Michael Fearon (3.29) and DJ Davis (3.20) made the "Excellent" list.
A senior Political Science major, Pendolino was honored by the ACWPC for the fourth straight season.
Schroeder and Russo were lauded for the third consecutive year, while Castorina, Jovanovic, Schoening, Kralj and Davis picked up recognition for the second time.
