Gabriele Simonti has been tabbed GWsports.com's Colonial of the Week for his continued excellence leading GW men's water polo in and out of the pool this fall.
The senior from Florence, Italy, is aiming to build on a fantastic debut season in Buff and Blue in 2019 that saw him record 59 points, 41 steals and a program-record tying 30 field blocks while also earning ACWPC All-Academic recognition.
"In the face of not seeing his family for more than a year, in the most uncertain times a college student could face, Gabriele brings an intense desire to make himself and his teammates better," Head Coach Barry King said. "He is the consummate scholar athlete during a time begging for more of his ilk."
My favorite course I've taken at GW is...

After graduation I hope to...
get a master's in Sport Psychology but more importantly see my family for a bit. I haven't seen them in a year!
