Valle records first double-digit kill game of the season
CORAL GABLES, Fla. - GW volleyball swiped the first set from Auburn on Sunday morning but saw the Tigers roar back to take three straight sets in a four-set setback to finish out the Hurricane Invitational.

Key Stats
• The Colonials had just five fewer kills than the Tigers (50-45) but committed 38 attack errors and hit .045 compared to Auburn's 17 errors and .260 attack percentage.
• Graduate student Paty Valle set a new career high with 11 kills in 29 attempts, also adding three digs and an ace.
• Sophomore Bella Bowman and junior Sydney Welch led the GW back line, registering 15 and 13 digs, respectively.
• Senior Jaimeson Lee posted a well-rounded display with 32 assists, eight digs, four blocks and three kills.

• Neither team attacked overly well in the first set, but the Colonials were able to claim the set thanks to a 13-10 edge in kills.
• With the set tied at 21, GW rattled off four straight points to claim the set, finishing on a kill from graduate student Caroline Sklaver.

• Auburn bounced back to hit .476 in the second set and committed just two attack errors.
• An ace from Sydney Welch brought GW to within four, 14-10, but Auburn promptly pushed the lead to seven and finished the set on an 11-3 run to even the match.

• A back-and-forth set went the Tigers' way following 12 ties in the set.
• With the match evened at 21, Auburn capitalized on a pair of attack errors to win the set on the back of a 4-1 run.

• The Tigers put the match away with their second set of the day hitting over .400, attacking at a .469 clip with just one attack error.
