The George Washington men's swimming and diving team made history last week, claiming its first-ever Atlantic 10 Conference crown.

The Colonials captured 12 gold medals during the four-day meet and added three bronze. The squad set new A-10 records in four events, and rewrote 13 program marks.

Senior Andrea Bolognesi was named Most Outstanding Performer for the second consecutive season, while Moritz Fath earned Most Outstanding Rookie Performer honors.

James Winchester was named Swimming Coach of the Year in just his second season at the helm.
