GW Swimming and Diving Completes Day One Of Patriot Invite

FAIRFAX, VA - The George Washington University men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed the first day, Friday, of the three-day Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason University at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
The Colonials' men's team completed the day in eighth place, out of 11 teams, while the women's squad finished up in seventh place, also out of 11 teams.
Junior Maggie Moss (Indianapolis, IN / North Central) broke the GW record in the 100-yard backstroke as she led off the 400-medley relay with a time of 57.01 seconds. Moss originally set the record last season with a time of 57.16 seconds.
GW placed fourth in the relay with a time of 3:59.15. Moss, senior Kristen Rasmuson (San Diego, CA/Mt. Carmel) and sophomores Shannon Ma (Kennisaw, GA/The Walker School) and Monica Pampell (Albuquerque, NM/Albuquerque) all combined in on the time.
The meet will continue through all day Saturday and Sunday.
