Harrington Named Men's Squash Head Coach

WASHINGTON, DC - Simon Harrington has been named George Washington University men's squash head coach, Associate Athletic Director Mary Jo Warner announced.
Harrington graduated from George Washington in 1996 with a bachelor of arts in journalism. He was a member of the club squash team during his four years at GW. Harrington has served as the head tennis pro at the Tuckahoe Recreation Club since 1999, and has been the junior varsity tennis and squash coach at the Potomac School of McLean since 1998. In addition, Harrington is the assistant squash instructor at the Sports Club of L.A. He is also a certified United States Professional Tennis Association and United States Tennis Registry instructor.
Harrington will be the first head coach of the men's squash team, that starts it's inaugural season in the winter of 2002. The Colonials will play their home squash matches at the Learner Health and Wellness center on the GW campus.
