Depth Carries Navy Over Men's Swimming and Diving

ANNAPOLIS, MD (Nov. 8) - The Navy men's swimming and diving team won six individual events and both relays to defeat George Washington, 158-85, Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, MD. The loss keeps the Colonials winless in three meets.
Junior David Dillehay (Gallatin, TN/Gallatin) was among the bright spots for the Colonials as he captured three events. Dillehay won the 800-yd freestyle with a time of 8:34.31, the 200-yd butterfly with a time of 2:10.45 and the 400-yd freestyle with a time of 4:09.34. Sophomore Ryan White (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy H.S.) continued his fast start to the season by winning the 200-yd freestyle with a time of 1:55.60. White has won at least one event in each of GW's first three meets. Fellow sophomore Josh Roberts (Memphis, TN/White Station) was the Colonials other winner on the day as he outraced Navy's Brian DeMell at the finish to win the 200-yd breaststroke with a time of 2:28.85.
The Colonials will look for their first victory of the season on Saturday, Nov. 10, as they travel to Philadelphia, PA to face the La Salle Explorers beginning at 1:00 p.m.
