Former Colonials Rower Qualifies for 2000 Olympics

A native of Arlington, VA, Miller graduated from GW in 1994 and was a four-year letterwinner for the Colonials women's crew under former GW crew coach Paul Wilkins. Miller graduated from Arlington's T.C. Williams High School.
She is a four-time national team member who began rowing in the eighth grade. She trains in San Diego, CA, under coach Hartmut Buschbacher. The U.S. women's eight has won two straight world championship silver medals finishing behind the Romanian team which has won every world or Olympic title since 1996.
Miller joins former GW swimmer Chad Senior ('97) (Modern Pentathlon) as former Colonials in the 2000 Olympic games. Miller is the third GW women's rower to compete in the Olympics. Michelle Knox-Zaloom ('86) also rowed for the U.S. in the '92 and '96 Olympics and Tina Brown ('90) rowed in the '92 games.
