"Nobody likes to be swept, especially on their home course. But we realize we need to go back and work on the depth of our squad and find quality recruits for next season. As a program we need to attract students who are looking for a cause. Next year I plan on coming back to this regatta and turning the sweep around."

The Colonial men's varsity crew is now 18-6 on the season. "We've raced 22 schools this season and defeated 18 of them," continued Kininmonth. "That's still a big turnaround from last year. This crew can be proud of their accomplishments to date."
The Colonials will face Georgetown again next weekend in Worcester, MA, at their regional championship, the Champion International Regatta. Both schools are favored to make the final and will be challenging Virginia and Michigan for medals. "It is our final dress rehearsal before the national championships and we will be looking to hit peak speed," concluded Kininmonth.
