Swimming & Diving Earns Academic All-America Honors

WASHINGTON, DC (Apr. 14) -- The George Washington University men's
and women's swimming and diving teams have been honored by the College
Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) and included among its
Academic All-America teams for the Fall 1999 semester, the organization
has announced.
The Colonials qualified for the honor by posting a team grade-point average of at least 2.80 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The GW men turned in a 2.82 team GPA while the GW women posted a team GPA of 3.1 last Fall.
GW men's and women's swimming, coached by Dan Rhinehart, and the GW divers, coached by John Ames, are members of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
