GW Crew Names Pascal Assistant Coach

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Sept. 3, 1999) -- Matthew Pascal has been named to the GW Crew coaching staff, head coach Steve Peterson has announced. Pascal will be responsible for coaching the Colonials men's novice crew.
Pascal, a 1996 graduate of Duquesne University, spent the past year as an assistant coach for the varsity and men's novice crews at his alma mater. Prior to that, Pascal rowed for the Dukes from 1992 through 1996 where he was the men's team captain his junior and senior years. He also was an assistant coach for the Three Rivers Rowing Association in 1997.
GW crew is headquartered at Thompson Boat Center on the Potomac River. The GW women's crew team competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
