Skinner and Dillehay Garner Atlantic 10 Swimming Honors

WASHINGTON, DC (November 17) -- George Washington swimmers captured half of the weekly Atlantic 10 swimming honors, as senior Jennifer Skinner (Liberty, MO/Liberty) was named Women's Performer of the Week and freshman David Dillehay (Gallatin, TN/Gallatin) was named Men's Rookie of the Week.
Skinner won three races on Saturday against La Salle, as her team won, 139-80. She finished first in the 1000-yard free in a time of 10:34.07. She also won the 200 free and the 500 free in times of 1:57.70 and 5:13.21, respectively. Skinner holds GW's top times in the 500 and 1000 free.
As a freshman and in his first collegiate meets, Dillehay has been stellar in the pool. Against La Salle, Dillehay won the 1000 free in 9:48.68, the second-best time in the conference this year. He also placed second in the 200 fly and fourth in the 500 free against La Salle.
GW's next competition is Saturday as the teams travel to George Mason University for a 2 p.m. dual meet with the Patriots and William & Mary.
