Robert Nowaskey

Bob Nowaskey played at GW from 1937-1939 and was acclaimed as one of GW's greatest offensive receivers. In his senior year, he carried the ball 13 times, averaging 9.5 yards per carry and caught 12 passes for 196 yards - 14.1 average. Following graduation, he played eight seasons of professional football for the Chicago Bears (1940-1942), Los Angeles (1946-1947) and Baltimore (1948-1950). After his playing days ended, he coached on the high school level and for the Chicago Cardinals from 1954-57. He passed away in 1971.
