Kimberly Beck served as the point guard for the women's basketball team during the most dominant stretch of play in program history, helping the Colonials to four straight NCAA Tournaments, 101 victories, four Atlantic 10 regular-season titles and consecutive Sweet 16 appearances in 2007 and 2008. A two-time Honorable Mention All-American and three-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection, Beck is one of the few players in A-10 history to win the conference's three major awards. She was the A-10 Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2005, the 2007 Defensive Player of the Year and the 2008 Player of the Year. She was also a three-time All-Defensive Team honoree. She continues to be GW's all-time assists leader (717) while ranking second in steals (295), third in three-pointers (229) and 15th in scoring (1,395).
