Forrest Burgess

Forrest Burgess played varsity basketball for the Colonials from 1930 through 1933, and the team's high scorer all three years. Burgess, who averaged 11.3 points per game, also played for three years in the All-College Basketball team for Washington, D.C. Burgess also earned a GW baseball letter.
After graduation, Burgess went on to receive a J.D. from GW Law School in 1934. He was an FBI special agent for the majority of his nearly 40 years, where he received special commendations from former director J. Edgar Hoover.
Before his career at GW, Burgess played freshman basketball as a freshman at American University. Burgess was married to Mary Eloise, and they had two sons, Robert and John.
